Kitty's Longbranch Ranch

How Does Our Program Work?

Kitty’s Longbranch Ranch (KLRanch) is a Residential Preparatory Ranch for Young Men Age 16-19 with On-Site Summer Programs for Children Ages 2-18.

We foster a family home environment combined with an agricultural emphasis on ranch living to teach a better way of life. By instilling a foundation of confidence and responsibility, youth also gain a sense of accomplishment and belonging.

The “KLRanch¬†Agricultural Program” is to include but is not limited to:

  • Basic Horse Handling Skills
  • Knowledge of Proper Grooming Techniques
  • Recognition of Health Issues
  • Administration of Basic Health Treatments
  • Recognition of Behavioral Signals
  • Basic equine science
  • Basic and intermediate horse training
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Roping/Branding
  • Harvesting
  • Leatherwork
  • Maintenance

KLRanch hosts Holiday Events for local communities that include Christmas, Valentines, Easter, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving.

Our on-site Summer Programs for non-residents include Basic Equine Classes, Riding Camps, Retreats, and Fundamental Ranching courses.

¬†**KLRanch’s goal is to greatly impact the world and make a positive difference for our youth, for our rural communities and the agricultural sector.**

About Us

We are a grassroots 501(c)3 in the beginning stages of the organization both in Northwest Kansas and Northern Colorado.

We are working hard to obtain the funding for purchase of a ranch property, making that property safe for kids, and obtaining horses for our programs.
